ISLAMABAD PTI Senator Barrister Ali Zafar has requested Chief Justice Yahya Afridi to postpone the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) meeting until the dispute over the seniority of judges on the Islamabad High Court (IHC) is resolved, amid a growing chorus of dissident voices from within the judiciary.
The congressman, who is also a member of the judicial panel, voiced concerns about the dispute surrounding the seniority of the IHC justices in a letter to the CJP on Sunday.
The letter stated, “Therefore, this is to request that the JCP meeting that was scheduled for February 10, 2025, be postponed.”
