Is a man’s devotion to his wife unending?
According to Cleveland news, a guy in Salem, Ohio was discovered caring for his “dead wife” for six years in an unexpected turn of events.
The wife’s body was discovered in perfect condition, encircled with herbs and wrapped in a blanket by law authorities.
When the authorities went to John Rea’s trailer to look into his father Robert Rea’s death, they discovered his wife’s lifeless body beside him.
Rea and his wife Peggy resided on the 40-acre family farm. Deputies searched the site and discovered, inside a trailer on the farm, what they suspected to be Peggy’s remains.
There were no indications of abuse or damage.
According to Sheriff Brian McLaughlin, it seems that both Robert Rea and his spouse passed away due to natural causes. The son of the couple informed the detectives that Peggy Rea, his mother, passed away in 2017.
According to reports, the husband had spent the previous six years caring for his wife’s remains.
Mclaughlin claimed that the woman’s corpse, who was born in 1953, was “unusually well preserved” considering how long she had been deceased.
Authorities were informed by the couple’s son that his parents were devoted Quakers who desired to be buried together.
The incident took place in Salem, a city well-known for its association with witches and the Salem witch trials.
