The FIA was notified by rivals of a device in the Red Bull cockpit that they thought could be used to change the height of the car’s floor in front.
Rival teams were worried that this would be used to alter the car’s setup between qualifying and races, which is prohibited.
“Yes, [the device] exists, but it is inaccessible once the car is fully assembled and ready to run,” a Red Bull representative told Sport.
This issue arose in our many emails with the FIA, and we have since decided on a course of action.
