The bodies of four Israeli captives held in Gaza will be returned on Wednesday night, according to Israel and Hamas, following the resolution of the most recent ceasefire dispute by mediators.
602 Palestinian inmates, whose release Israel had postponed since last Saturday in protest of what it claimed was the harsh treatment of hostages being turned over by Hamas, are expected to be released in exchange.
The Israel Prison Service stated it was getting ready to release inmates and detainees from Gaza, while the Israeli prime minister’s office declared the four bodies would be returned “without Hamas ceremonies.”
The Prisoners’ Media Office reported that a hospital in Gaza was getting ready to welcome liberated Palestinians, and Hamas also verified the exchange.
