Pakistani gold prices increased on Wednesday, tracking a rise in global rates after declining in the previous two sessions. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs1,600 in a single day to Rs275,900 in the local market.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 10 grams of gold had increased by Rs 1,372 to Rs 23,540.
In Pakistan, the cost per tola decreased by Rs 4,100 on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, gold prices increased globally as well. The APGJSA reported a rate of $2,647 per ounce (with a $20 premium), up $16 for the day.
The price of silver, meanwhile, stayed constant at Rs 3,400 per tola.
