In response to suggestions from the Federal Tax Ombudsman, the Accountant General of Pakistan Revenues has decided to improve the “SAP module” in order to make tax credits and adjustments easier for pensioners and salaried individuals.
As per a partnership between the Federal Board of Revenue and the AGPR, taxes would be deducted from the AGPR’s tax obligations, offering a more effective way to help those in need.
The goal of this action is to do away with the onerous refund procedures that have long hampered taxpayers, according to the Business Recorder.
In order to expedite tax operations, the FTO emphasized the necessity of updating the SAP module. To avoid any abuse during the withholding phase, a strong monitoring system is also suggested.
