The Pakistan Army, in partnership with Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital, launched a ground-breaking project to alleviate the lack of healthcare services in Khyber District’s Landi Kotal region.
A Free Eye Camp was put up over two days to provide free eye exams and treatments to the local population.
During this unique event, competent physicians and committed nursing personnel provided screenings and visual exams to a total of 1021 patients.
In addition, people in need received complimentary spectacles and medicines.
Furthermore, 190 people in need of further treatment were sent to the Al-Shifa Eye Trust in Rawalpindi, with more than 20 scheduled to get free eye surgery.
The community expressed profound gratitude to the senior officers of the Pakistan Army who orchestrated this crucial medical outreach.Residents underlined the significant impact of such activities, particularly given the region’s inadequate healthcare infrastructure.
