A court-appointed bankruptcy trustee has hinted that he intends to sell up his Infowars media empire.
The trustee, Christopher Murray, stated in a court document on Sunday that he intended to “liquidate its inventory” and cease operations of Free Speech Systems, the company that owns Infowars.
The announcement was made one week after a bankruptcy judge ruled that Mr. Jones’ personal belongings will be sold to reimburse the victims for disseminating false information regarding the fatal shooting at a suburban Connecticut school in 2012.
The judge appointed Mr. Murray to oversee the sale of Mr. Jones’ belongings.
The conspiracy theorist declared bankruptcy in conjunction with his business, Free Speech Systems, in it.
In various defamation cases involving false allegations regarding the Sandy Hook shooting, which claimed the lives of 20 children and 6 adults, Mr. Jones was sentenced to pay $1.5 billion.
Despite filing for bankruptcy, a judge decided last year that Mr. Jones would still be required to pay the payment.
However, since the bankruptcy process has concluded, the Sandy Hook family have not yet received any payment from Mr. Jones.
