Renowned singer Ali Zafar has once again been invited by the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to deliver the league’s anthem for its eagerly awaited 10th season.
Despite being a longtime fan favorite, Zafar’s choice has drawn criticism, especially from Ali Tareen, the owner of Multan Sultans, who feels that it’s time to give new talent a chance.
Tareen expressed his dissatisfaction on Instagram, asking why PSL keeps using the same performer. “There are a lot of incredible artists in Pakistan. However, the same middle-aged man has been granted about half of our anthems. even though franchises express reservations about the artist. He commented, “They keep giving space to the same recycled voices while talking about making this the biggest PSL ever.”
