Aliya Fakhri, the sister of rock star Nargis Fakhri, has been taken into custody in relation to the alleged murder of her ex-boyfriend and his buddy in Queens, New York.
Edward Jacobs, 35, and Anastasia Ettienne, 33, were killed when the 43-year-old is accused of setting fire to a two-story garage.
According to reports, Fakhri yelled, “you’re all going to die today,” before starting the fire on November 2. Her shout alerted a nearby witness, who saw the garage on flames. Ettienne tried to save Jacobs, who was sleeping upstairs, but he was unable to get out of the fire.
The District Attorney’s office reports that both victims passed away from heat burns and smoke inhalation. Fakhri faces four first-degree murder charges and four second-degree.
