At the Punjab Constabulary at Farooqabad, a head constable shot and killed Inspector Muhammad Afzal, the Chief Security Officer of the Police Training School, before killing himself.
The argument started because of a duty negligence grievance.
Head Constable Tahir Hussain was found to be asleep on duty by Chief Security Officer Afzal during a routine check at the SSP office late last night.
Afzal later complained about the event in writing.
Tahir met Inspector Afzal this morning as he was making his way to the Police Training School to get ready for training. Tahir then opened fire with a service rifle, killing Afzal before taking his own life.
Tahir, who committed suicide, was from Hafizabad, whilst Inspector Afzal was from Faisalabad.
