KARACHI: The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) stated on Tuesday that there is a risk of rain and thunderstorms despite the port city’s expected hot and muggy weather.
The Met Office stated, “There is a likelihood of rain with thunderstorm in some parts of Karachi after noon,” and that there might be light to moderate rain in other locations.
The department also stated that the following day’s weather is predicted to be hot and muggy.
According to the PMD, the lowest temperature ever recorded in the city was 30°C, and the highest temperature is probably going to be in the range of 35° to 37°C.
“The percentage of humidity in the air is 59%,” it stated.
The Met Office predicts that the current monsoon activity will have an impact on the weather in the upcoming days.
“Met Office informed that more monsoon currents are likely to penetrate from the Arabian Sea in upper parts of the country from 10th July,” according to the most recent meteorological report.
The Kashmir region is predicted to have monsoon showers with the longest duration.
