A review of Abbington’s allegations regarding the behavior of professional dancer Giovanni Pernice while she was on Strictly Come Dancing “upheld some, but not all” of her concerns.
The Sherlock actor, who withdrew from last year for “personal reasons,” subsequently stated that she was being bullied in an inappropriate, rude, and ugly setting and that she was in a “toxic environment.”
It is believed that the charges of verbal bullying and harassment were upheld, despite the fact that no conclusions were reached about physical aggressiveness.
In response, a spokesman for Pernice expressed his “relief” that the six-month-long investigation turned up no proof of abusive or threatening behavior.
Abbington made the following statement: “It was not an easy decision for me to come forward and voice my concerns about Giovanni Pernice’s treatment of me. Throughout the days, weeks, and months that have passed since I contacted the news, I have been called names such as “mad and unstable,” troublemaker, and liar.
