Much of Pakistan’s diplomats stationed in member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have been called back to Islamabad ahead of the SCO Summit.
The purpose of this meeting is to help with conference organization and coordination.
Pakistan is playing a major role in the summit, as evidenced by the ambassadors of important participating nations including China, Russia, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan who have already arrived in the capital.
Notably, Pakistan’s chief of mission in India is taking part in the talks as well, underscoring the nation’s extensive diplomatic preparations for the occasion.
