KARACHI: Onijah Andrew Robinson, an American woman who gained notoriety after visiting Pakistan for romantic reasons, is now unwell.
Police said that she was turned over to a welfare organization after hotel and guesthouse operators refused to accommodate her.
The American woman was brought to a Sharea Faisal social welfare office.
The charity organization’s head claimed that Robinson had visited the Tipu Sultan police station and that her lack of sleep had caused her health to deteriorate.
“She is like my sister and can stay here for as long as she wants,” he said, adding that plans had been made for her visit. She will be accompanied by female volunteers from the organization.
