Pakistan has warned its residents to leave the country due to the continued Israeli bombings in Lebanon and the rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
In light of the present security situation, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement advising Pakistanis to stay away from traveling to Lebanon.
Pakistanis residing in Lebanon were especially urged by the government to take advantage of the available commercial flights to return home.
The ministry also recommended “extreme caution” and “safe locations” for individuals who were unable to escape for different reasons.
It continued, “They are also requested to stay in contact with the Pakistani Embassy, Beirut.”
