As Amy Robach and TJ Holmes continue to be transparent about their personal issues, their podcast is seeing a significant drop in popularity.
According to The Sun, the GMA 3 stars’ podcast’s chart ratings fell sharply just before the couple disclosed their alcohol problems. Since the podcast’s introduction on December 5, their Chartable ratings have dramatically declined, according to the publication’s research.
On January 6, Amy and Holmes’ podcast fell to the 243rd position in the charts, despite having debuted in the top 5.
“There was a ton of interest in what they were going to say about their affair and getting cut from ABC in the aftermath,” a podcast industry insider told the publication.
The podcast rose to the 136th position in the ratings after their shocking drinking disclosures in recent episodes. But there was another drop in viewership shortly following the revelations.
TJ Holmes, meanwhile, made the startling admission that he suffers from alcohol addiction: “I, personally, can go through 18 drinks a day.”
“If we’re not out and about for the day, running errands or doing something, and we’re just inside, I can easily have a drink in my hand from two in the afternoon until seven, eight, nine, 10 o’clock at night,” he admitted.
Amy Robach, on the other hand, acknowledged consuming 15 to 20 drinks per week, which is still considered heavy drinking.
