ISLAMABAD: The identification of an Afghan militant killed in a Pakistani operation has been verified by security authorities, exposing his involvement in terrorism.
The sources claim that 14 militants were killed by Pakistani security forces during an operation in Ghulam Khan Kalay on February 28. One of them was an Afghan insurgent named Mujeebur Rehman, son of Mirza Khan, also called Mansoor.
Mujeeb was from the Afghan region of Maidan Wardak, specifically the Dandar village. According to accounts, he commanded the third battalion at the National Military Academy in Afghanistan.
Furthermore, during an operation in Dera Ismail Khan on January 30, security forces killed Badruddin, another Afghan insurgent.
