Paul Johnson, the head of the Institute for Fiscal Studies, told News that Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is not likely to be aiming it.
While stating that his budget would be “prudent and responsible” in an interview with Trevor Phillips on Sunday Morning, Mr. Hunt also mentioned that he hoped to “make some progress” on the “journey” that was started by the two pence reduction in National Insurance that was announced in the autumn statement six months prior.
Tax cuts are being pushed for by the chancellor in an attempt to move the needle in favor of his party, which is trailing Labour in the polls.
