KARACHI: After organizational roles were assigned, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) is experiencing internal conflict, with a number of top figures voicing discontent.
Due to this dissatisfaction, a sizable contingent of party employees gathered at the Bahadurabad headquarters to demonstrate against the most recent structural adjustments.
The party announced new organizational tasks in a circular on Saturday. Workers and some leaders, however, strongly reacted to this action, which exacerbated internal strife.
The Central Organizing Committee includes senior leaders Dr. Farooq Sattar, Aminul Haq, and Anees Qaimkhani.
Chanting slogans against former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal and in favor of party chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, protesters at the Bahadurabad headquarters expressed their complaints. Concerns regarding the absence of consultation were also voiced by certain employees.
