A Sumatran tiger is being sought after after it is thought that it killed a man in western Indonesia after attacking him.
The news said that the victim was 26 years old. On Thursday afternoon, he was discovered dead at a plantation in the Riau province of Sumatra island. His right hand was removed, and he had bite wounds on his neck.
Two employees alerted local authorities that their friend was screaming and that all they found when they looked for him were tiger footprints, according to CBS.
“This morning, our team departed in pursuit of the tiger. Genman Suhefti Hasibuan, the chief of the local conservation organization, told Agence France Presse (AFP) on Saturday that the location is within the tiger habitat according to the report.
