Last Wednesday about five in the morning, Anita Rose, 57, went for a stroll with her springer spaniel in Brantham, Suffolk.
The mother of six was discovered by a member of the public at around 6.25 am on a track off Rectory Lane. She was subsequently sent to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with severe head injuries.
A map of her itinerary has also been made public by the authorities, who are advising the community to “remain vigilant”.
On Wednesday, July 31, they intend to conduct a “anniversary check in the Rectory Lane area”.
A 45-year-old male was first detained on suspicion of attempted murder on Saturday, and he was then detained again on suspicion of murder.
A 37-year-old woman was also taken into custody on the same day, according to police, on suspicion of handling stolen property “in connection with the incident”.
Both have been freed until October 25th under police bond.
In an effort to locate Ms. Rose’s pink zip-up jacket, which they believe she was wearing just before the event, detectives are still making appeals for information.
Police are checking the area where Ms. Rose was discovered, going door-to-door, and going through CCTV.
“I would advise people to remain vigilant if they are concerned about going for a walk,” stated Detective Superintendent Mike Brown of the major investigation unit of Suffolk Police.
