Swat native Amir Khan, 22, has made Pakistan proud by taking home the gold medal from the World Taekwondo Championships in Thailand.
Over 3,000 athletes from 30 countries—Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, the Philippines, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia—participated in this tournament.
Held at Assumption University of Thailand in Bangkok from August 10–12, the 7th Heroes Taekwondo International Championship. Athletes competed fiercely, giving their best performances in an attempt to win first place.
Mingora, Swat, native Amir Khan, proved to be a remarkable talent. He won the gold medal by outlasting competitors from Japan, the Philippines, and India, displaying extraordinary skill and tenacity.
