If Anthony Richardson hadn’t missed the most of the season due to an injury, the Indianapolis Colts might have made the playoffs the previous year.
In four games, Richardson had three touchdown throws and just one interception. Before Gardner Minshew II was thrown into the fire and led the squad to a 9-8 record, Indianapolis was 2-2. But on his route to winning a playoff game and the Offensive Rookie of the Year title, rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans dominated the division.
But according to Richardson, playing in the NFL is “easier” than in college. Prior to turning pro, Richardson spent a full season as Florida’s starting quarterback.
“In college, you got players that are good, they know they’re good, but they’re not as confident,” Richardson stated on the “Club 520 Podcast.” “In order for them to accomplish it, they must rely on other players to do this.
“However, everyone in the league is attempting to work hard to maintain their position and remain in the league. Everyone is attempting to go all out. That simply told me not to take on too much. We both have our jobs to accomplish, and if we do that, everything will work out.”
