In an effort to encourage users to upgrade, Apple AAPL.O. released new iPad Air models on Tuesday, improving the mid-tier tablet with its M3 CPU and AI features.
The 11-inch model in the redesigned lineup costs $599, while the 13-inch model costs $799. Delivery will begin on March 12 when pre-orders open on Tuesday.
In an effort to draw in customers and stay ahead of competitors like Samsung 005930.KS and China’s Huawei, which are vying to incorporate AI into their products, Apple has been outfitting its devices with more potent chips made to perform AI tasks, like calling upon ChatGPT to respond to user inquiries.
The company released the iPhone 16e, a low-cost phone, last month.
