ISLAMABAD: As the government program’s application deadline approaches on Tuesday, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has already received over 72,000 Hajj applications.
Applications for the Government Hajj Scheme will still be accepted at approved banks on Monday and Tuesday, the last two days for submissions, according to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt.
He added that, for convenience, candidates can join the Hajj groups of their relatives.
According to Umar, applicants must pay an initial payment of Rs200,000 to be enrolled in the Regular Hajj Scheme. The second installment, which includes extra privileges, must be paid within ten days of the balloting. February 10 is the deadline for the last installment.
