One of the many obstacles Euphoria season 3 is now dealing with is the contracts of Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi.
The respective actors have established themselves as major Hollywood stars and are anticipating a massive pay increase, according to a Hollywood agent who is unrelated to any of the cast members and spoke with US Weekly.
The information from the unidentified man comes after HBO said that there will be further delays for Euphoria’s third season and that the performers are free to work on any other projects they choose.
The network’s insistence that Sam Levinson “complete the scripts” prior to giving the go-ahead for production is the true source of the impediment, an insider recently revealed to Daily Mail.
The agent stated, “There’s no way Sydney Sweeney is going to come back to ‘Euphoria’ for anything less than a million per episode,” implying that the rift may not be the only contributing cause. She was mostly responsible for “Anyone But You’s” enormous success.”
They went on to tell the source, “They will need to pay her a salary that is comparable to what she would make if she was making a movie.”
According to the publication, Jacob Elordi “took a dig” at Sam when he was endorsing Priscilla and complimented Sofia Coppola, the filmmaker, for being “trust-worthy.”
