Out of 137 orders, 96 short measures of beer and wine were served to Trading Standards officers at 77 pubs and bars.
This indicates that a majority of beverages, approximately 70%, were not filled to the exact amount specified in pints and half-pints, as well as 175 ml glasses of wine by the Weights and Measures Order.
Both 43% and 86% of the wine and beer that were ordered were served in small portions.
Forty-one of the short-measures had a 5% or greater underamount. Of the 137 drinks that were analyzed, this amounts to 29%.
