Ariana Grande of Wicked responded to those who criticized her high-pitched voice by stating that it’s “natural” and one strategy to preserve her vocal health.
The Thank You, Next singer responded to the criticism that her voice is higher pitched today than it was before in an interview with the SmartLess podcast on February 3.
“I do something that confuses people a lot, and it’s hilarious because if you’re a voice actor, you’re aware of this,” Ariana remarked.
“I’ll adjust my vocal placement to kind of preserve,” the 31-year-old continued. However, that is merely a voice-healthy practice. In essence, it involves slightly raising your vocal pitch.
