The Thank U, Next singer openly discussed the emotional connection she has developed with her co-star in an interview with Paul Mescal for Variety’s Actor On Actor series.
Mescal started off by saying, “I’m watching you guys on the press tour, and it’s clear that you two are in love.”
“Unbearable. Indeed. We’re awful. The singer responded with a giggle, “It’s bad.”
“Cynthia is just an absolute brilliant gift of a human being,” praised Ariana, who portrays Glinda in the fantasy film.
“Obviously, we made every effort to keep the pressure out of the room,” she continued.
