Karachi: Police claimed Thursday that armed robbers stole Rs 1.15 million in cash, guns, and cell phones from the employees of a Peoples Bus Service at Gulshan-e-Hadid Stop.
Sher Jan, the bus driver, said that he and two other employees were seated outside the bus when six men pulled up in a car.
In his police testimony, he claimed that four people soon came out and confronted them.
The driver further said that four armed guys pushed them onto the bus at gunpoint and then stole Rs 1.15 million in cash, primarily from ticket sales.
Before leaving the area, the robbers also took a security guard’s cell phone and firearm.
