LONDON: According to British daily The Guardian, which cited senior military sources, Pakistan’s military has categorically rejected the prospect of having talks or reaching an agreement with imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Following his declaration that he would be open to holding discussions with the military leadership from his prison cell, the former prime minister made the statement.
In his answers, the cricketer-turned-politician acknowledged that he had not had any direct contact with the military since his arrest and detention in August of last year. The publication reportedly sent Khan questions through his legal staff.
He had earlier accused the establishment of overthrowing his administration and supporting his agenda, but he stated that he would not rule out making a deal with them.
