RAWALPINDI: The non-bailable arrest warrants against Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have been suspended by an anti-terrorism court (ATC).
The arrest warrants for Chief Minister Gandapur in a case filed at Hassan Abdal Police Station were suspended by the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court on Thursday.
Muhammad Faisal Malik, Gandapur’s attorney, submitted the motion to halt the arrest warrants, claiming that Gandapur had previously been granted bail in every case by the Peshawar High Court.
The anti-terrorism court suspended the non-bailable arrest warrants issued against Gandapur when the attorney presented the court with the Peshawar High Court’s judgment.
The court also halted efforts to designate the chief minister as a proclaimed criminal.
KP CM Gandapur was the subject of non-bailable arrest warrants issued by an ATC in Rawalpindi last month.
