RAWALPINDI: Because Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has repeatedly missed sessions in the new Toshakhana case, a judge has issued arrest warrants for her.
Shahrukh Arjumand, Special Judge (Central), presided over the hearings, which took place at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
Along with the warrants, Bushra Bibi’s guarantor has received a notice from the court asking why their surety bonds shouldn’t be revoked. The judge asked, “Why should your surety bonds not be seized?”
The hearing has been postponed until December 9 by the court.
Because the former first lady was “intentionally” avoiding appearing in court, the prosecutor had asked the court to issue non-bailable arrest warrants for her at the previous session.
