The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) reports that there have been 86 confirmed cases of measles in England during the previous week, resulting in an emergency.
With this, there have been nearly 900 cases of measles reported so far this year, a significant increase from the 368 instances reported for the entire year 2023.
Those under the age of ten make up about two thirds of those impacted.
The current outbreak began in the West Midlands last year and, according to medical professionals, has now spread to every part of the nation.
The newest hotspot is London, and Margot House, which has been there for five months, is one of those that just contracted.
