In light of rain emergency measures, the Met Department updated its forecast for Karachi on Thursday, saying that “heavy showers are not expected” in the city.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that severe rain was not anticipated in Karachi, despite the fact that rain was still falling in certain areas of Balochistan.
According to Sarfraz, there was a possibility of heavy rain in certain parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a result of the rain system moving into these two provinces from Balochistan. He asserted, however, that there was a forecast of extremely heavy rainfall along Blaochistan’s coastline zone.
The chief meteorologist said, “Heavy rain is falling in some parts of Balochistan.”
Conversely, Numaish Chowrangi, MA Jinnah Road, Saddar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karimabad, Safoora, and their surrounding areas experienced mild rain.Asadullah Khan, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Karachi Water Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), sent out fifty-five suction machines on Wednesday to all of the city’s major highways.
