Following a suicide bombing close to the FC camp in the South Waziristan province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pakistan Army on Thursday prevented a terrorist attack on a checkpoint and killed ten terrorists, according to security sources.
Police authorities told the media that a loud explosion in Jandola was followed by heavy shooting.
Security sources claim that terrorists attempted to attack the Jandola checkpoint but were thwarted by the security troops. A suicide bomber detonated himself in a car close to the FC camp, they added.
Mohsin Naqvi, the interior minister, praised the security forces for thwarting the assault and eliminating the terrorists. He declared that the country was supporting the security forces in their efforts to eradicate terrorism from the nation.
