A police spokeswoman said on Sunday that security was placed on high alert throughout Punjab due to the recent increase in terrorist attacks in the nation.
Days after the terrorist attack on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu Cantonment, this development occurred. The attack killed 16 militants and martyred at least five servicemen and thirteen civilians.
Furthermore, up to 32 additional people were injured due to the damage caused by suicide bombs during the conflict.
Following his visit to the Bannu district of KP, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir pledged to apprehend the perpetrators and enablers of the most recent terrorist assault “wherever they may be.”
