According to a Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) spokeswoman on Monday, the 84-inch water pipe on University Road that ruptured last month has been repaired, and water supply from the Dhabeji Pumping Station has begun.
After the line ruptured on November 29 during the ongoing Red Line project, the pipeline’s repair work started on December 3.
The water supply business had to shut down multiple Dhabeji water pumps in order to repair the waterline damage, which resulted in a loss of thousands of gallons of water.
The water supply in some parts of the metropolitan metropolis, including Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Mosmiyat, Safoora, and several others, was completely cut off as a result of the Dhabeji Pumping Station’s closure.
