A countrywide operation spearheaded by military leadership and related government entities to combat hoarding and smuggling activities has generated considerable results.
The constant pursuit of illicit operations has resulted in the confiscation of items worth billions of rupees, indicating a critical step toward ensuring economic stability and fair market procedures in the country.
Official data revealed that between January 5 and February 11, a stunning amount of illegal goods were collected in 77 extremely effective operations around the country.
Among the seized products were 11.757 metric tons of fertilizer, 3.687 metric tons of flour, and 24.856 metric tons of sugar, demonstrating the scope of the illegal activities disrupted during this time period.
Since the crackdown began in September 2023, law enforcement agencies have conducted 400 effective operations against hoarders, demonstrating their unwavering dedication.
During this time, a significant amount of contraband was recovered, including 19,051.372 metric tons of fertilizer, 2,408.629 metric tons of flour, and 7,635.871 metric tons of sugar.
It is worth noting that the caretaker administration, in partnership with the military leadership and relevant government agencies, is steadfast in its desire to eliminate hoarding and smuggling practices from the country’s economic landscape.
