CHAMAN: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that Sunday’s snowstorm in northern Balochistan has passed.
Snowfall is still occurring in Pakistan and Afghanistan’s upper border regions as a result of a powerful western weather system that is still affecting northern Balochistan.
To restore normalcy to the impacted areas, Levies Force, PDMA, and National Highway Authority (NHA) staff are working on rescue and restoration operations despite the severe weather.
According to the control room, the N-50 highway that connects Balochistan to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been reopened for traffic, while the N-25 highway at Kozhak Top, which links Quetta and Karachi, has been partially restored.
The Deputy Commissioner also declared the reopening of the Quetta-Ziarat highway. To make driving better, numerous kilometers of the road have also been salted.
