In a decisive victory over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry extended his dominant lead as the best long-range shooter in basketball history by becoming the first NBA player to ever score 4,000 three-pointers.
Just a few days after hitting 25,000 career points last Saturday, Curry needed just two three-pointers going into Thursday’s game to reach the historic 4,000-point milestone.
Curry took his time before finishing the last few steps of his trip towards a scoring milestone that, prior to the four-time NBA champion revolutionizing the art of three-point shooting, would have been considered unimaginable. Curry turns 37 on Friday.
