Asad Qaiser, a key leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated on Friday that his party is not in any talks with the government, rejecting rumors that the talks may have begun.
To put an end to its continuous agitation, the Imran Khan-founded party has made a number of demands, including the release of its leader and the repeal of the 26th Amendment to the Constitution.
The PTI has marched to Islamabad and gone to the streets multiple times this year to demand that its demands be met, but the party and the government have yet to come to an agreement.
During his National Assembly speech, Qaiser stated: “I paid condolences at Speaker Ayaz Sadiq’s home. There was no conversation about talks with the [NA] speaker.
