At the Ferrari facility in Maranello on Monday, 40-year-old Hamilton started getting ready for his first season with his new team.
The seven-time world champion joined Ferrari in January of last year, but no meaningful negotiations could begin until the end of 2024 due to contractual obligations to Mercedes.
In an Instagram post, he stated, “Today, my first time driving a Ferrari, is one of those days that you know you’ll remember forever.”
“Although I’ve been fortunate enough to accomplish things in my career that I never would have imagined, I’ve always had the desire to race in red. Realizing that dream today makes me very happy.
