Seven people have died and at least 52 have been injured in an explosion that occurred in a gas cylinder shop in Hyderabad’s Preetabad region, with six of them critically injured.
Locals and rescue personnel raced to the scene of the explosion, which happened in a very populated neighborhood, to save the victims. Among the seven victims were five youngsters. One of the injured passed away while traveling to Karachi, and six of the victims passed away in the Civil Hospital’s Burns ward in Hyderabad.
The deceased’s funeral prayers were held in Preetabad Eidgah, and the murder scene was roped off. 52 individuals were hurt in all; 27 of them were sent to Karachi for treatment, and 10 more were receiving care in Hyderabad.
Dr. Khalid Bukhari, MS of the Civil Hospital, stated that every injured person’s condition was critical. The hospital management issued a warning, and employees are working nonstop to give the victims medical attention.
During his visit to the hospital, SSP Hyderabad Farrukh Linjar gave the staff instructions to help the injured as much as they could. He verified that the explosion had harmed thirty people, the majority of them were minors.
When the victims’ families objected to the hospital’s inadequate treatment options, the management decided to send in the Rangers. Chief Secretary Sindh, Governor Sindh, and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah have all apologized for the event and demanded a thorough and open investigation.
