During his time as a host, Conan O’Brien just used the occasion to joke about the rivalry between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
The 61-year-old comedian and actor did not pass up the chance to poke fun at the well-known Canadian rapper at the 2025 Academy Awards, which were hosted at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
“We’re halfway through the show, which means it’s time for Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile,” quipped O’Brien.
This was a reference to a pretty well-known statement from Kendrick Lamar’s diss tune, “Not Like Us,” which became the most decorated diss track in history after winning five Grammys at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
