The legendary Oasis member praised the “best ever” music photographer, who has over 50 years of experience shooting some of the world’s biggest musicians.
Floyd and Bob Dylan, to Blondie, Kate Bush, and Billie Eilish. In the 1990s, she began working with Oasis, and over the years, she kept taking pictures of Gallagher and the band.
“She is an extremely close friend of mine, and I consider it an honor to have known her for thirty years,” Gallagher declared on stage during the London event held at Abbey Road Studios.
All I can say is that she is one of my closest friends, just as beautiful as she appears, and I adore her.
Given that she was unaware the celebrity would be giving the medal, Furmanovsky expressed her gratitude to the crowd, saying she was “so overwhelmed” to be recognized as a photography icon.
