On the fringes of the Third Belt & Road Ministerial Conference in Qingdao, China, Leghari met with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Ali Abadi.
According to the Power Division, “Minister Awais Leghari emphasized the significance of cross-border energy projects in enhancing connectivity and trade.”
“Both parties talked about future cooperation, with a special emphasis on the growth of electricity projects in Gwadar, Balochistan.”
According to the statement, both underlined the necessity of consistent coordination and communication and the significance of enhancing energy cooperation in power plant operations and maintenance.
Leghari also met separately in Qingdao with Ni Zhen, general manager of Energy China, and Yao Huan, vice president of Power China.
