Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, emphasized Pakistan’s strong commitment to giving young people the opportunity to assume leadership roles on Thursday, stating that youth leadership is essential for a robust and inclusive Commonwealth.
In his speech at the Commonwealth Intergenerational Dialogue in Samoa, the deputy premier emphasized programs such as Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, which has helped millions of young people with their involvement, education, and job.
He described Pakistan’s initiatives to empower young people, such as the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance (CAYA) and the update of the Commonwealth Youth Programme Memorandum of Understanding (CYP-MOU).
The deputy premier praised the contributions, saying that young people were actively participating in policymaking now and will be the leaders of tomorrow.
