On Monday, the spirited Horse and Cattle Show 2025, which had a thematic tagline “May Punjab Prosper Forever,” came to an amazing conclusion. As reported by The News, Punjab Chief Minister Maryan Navas oversaw the show while Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir was in attendance as the guest of honor.
Guests started arriving in the afternoon, and to receive them, hundreds of drummers were present. The Fortress Stadium was beautifully decorated, and drummers were spinning in circles as they welcomed the guests, rhythmically beating their drums accompanied by festive tunes.
Cavalry women led by traditional attire formally sought permission to start the program, followed by lively horse riders, flag bearers, and nationally skilled coal burners. Rapid horse riders demonstrate skills by burning coal spearing.
Dancing camels, goats, buffaloes, and sheep captivated the audience alongside the Kabaddi match, “Rustam-e-Punjab.” Various regional dancers such as Sindhi, Balochi, and Kashmiri drew the region’s attention and overwhelmed the show along with Sufi dancers who accompanied the flute Green Punjab performers.
